Wayfinding for King’s Lynn, Norfolk – installation

Landmark were delighted to be awarded the tender for replacing the town centre fingerpost signage in King’s Lynn. This beautiful town has no less than 481 listed buildings, many of them medieval, and clearly it would take something special to capture its heritage and atmosphere. A particular aim of the new signage was to promote active travel modes and enhance the tourist experience of the town.

Our team selected the Bristol fingerpost sign for its versatility and durability. The colour scheme and fonts are designed to be timeless and easy to read, yet with the gold chevron ends providing an understated heritage accent. Multiple levels and infinite angles are a useful feature of this range, enabling it to be easily updated and extended over time.

The installation involved replacing old signage with new, but in areas where there was no existing signage a full CAT scan survey was completed to ensure safety. The finished result looks stunning and is a worthy counterpart to this very interesting town.
