Our People and Culture

Our People and Culture

At Hornbeck, we believe that public spaces deserve more than functionality, they deserve consideration, design, and purpose. A bench isn’t just a seat. A sign isn’t just information. A planter isn’t just decoration. They’re invitations: to pause, to explore, to connect. We approach every project with a designer’s eye and a maker’s discipline, crafting to endure, elevate, and earn a place in the landscape. Sustainability isn’t a feature, it’s a foundation. From responsible materials to modular thinking, we build with care for the environment and respect for the communities we serve. From streetscapes to schools, wayfinding to lighting, we create with clarity and purpose always balancing form with function, elegance with engineering.

Our Team

Thinkers and creators are here, they are what makes Hornbeck different. Living and enjoying the culture, bringing thriving spaces to life.

Our Mission

Creating unforgettable places.

Our Vision

To provide durable, adaptable and sustainable products that will enhance the visitor experience of public places.

Our Values

1

Think for the team.

Our actions affect the whole team, the people we work with, as well as our suppliers and our customers. Make sure everything you do will contribute to the success of the whole team.

2

Be a finisher.

Taking ownership of tasks and projects means successful results. It can be easy to start something, but don’t rely on someone else to make sure it gets finished. You’re responsible too!

3

Communicate well.

People live busy lives, with many points of distraction. If you’re always clear and straightforward, it’s more likely that people will get the message quicker.

4

Keep it simple.

When complexity creeps in, it confuses things, so is there a better, simpler way of doing things? By streamlining processes and products we can make things easier to remember, maintain and update.

5

Share your experience.

Most situations have happened before, so help everyone out by sharing your unique knowledge and experience, enabling us all to succeed.

6

Continually improve.

There’s no such thing as perfect. Products, projects, and systems can all be better next time (and the time after that), so if you can see ways we can improve, say so!
