We work with stainless steel, copper, reclaimed timber, etched zinc, glass-reinforced polyester, lacquered aluminium, high-pressure laminate, limestone, recycled plastic and cast resin to name a few. Processes include welding, bending, perforating, riveting, laminating, curing and galvanising. Each project brings something new and we rise to meet the challenge.
Hornbeck installed nationwide and have worked deep in the woods, high up buildings, alongside busy roads and on quiet moorland. Our installers are professionally trained for all the aspects of signage and furniture and will install in the ground, on the wall and in the air! Overcoming technical and logistical challenges is a daily routine for the team.
Special certification can be required for installing in locations such as royal palaces, while SSSI sites and Scheduled Ancient Monuments have their own considerations. Stately homes, remote islands, bustling hospitals, damp peat bogs, prestigious offices and dark-sky moorlands, we’ve done it all. Even the mortar dust is collected sometimes and stored for future use.
All contractors are vetted regularly to ensure compliance with insurance and Health & Safety policies.
We take pride in delivering effective signage and wayfinding solutions that enhance navigation and improve visitor experiences. Here are some of our completed projects where our products played a key role.
Strathclyde Country Park spans over 400 hectares, offering activities from bike hire to nature trails. The Bellshill Gateway, a new entrance featuring cycle tracks and play areas, required updated signage and wayfinding. We collaborated with North Lanarkshire Council to develop a signage system that aligned with the council’s brand while remaining adaptable for future expansion.
For durability and aesthetics, solid oak was used for waymarker posts and smaller monoliths, while Accoya was chosen for larger monoliths due to its stability and moisture resistance. HardRok panels provide a high-quality, long-lasting printed surface. The installation of signage was carefully planned to ensure visibility and durability in this busy public place.
A robust and minimalist sign, resistant to vandalism and suitable for various sizes and materials.
A cost-effective and unobtrusive wayfinding solution commonly used on trails.
A versatile sign with a printed tray between two posts, ideal for entrance and directional signage.
This signage project enhances navigation throughout the park while maintaining a timeless, clean aesthetic.
Alongside signage, outdoor furniture installation was also considered to complement the space and improve the visitor experience.
