Interpretation for Nidderdale, North Yorkshire

About This Project

Upper Nidderdale is a remote upland valley in the Yorkshire Dales, taking in the 700m-high peak of Great Whernside and the busy market town of Pateley Bridge. For those who wish to explore it properly, the 53-mile Nidderdale Way is a circular long-distance walk including many sights and attractions.

The whole area has a fascinating geographical and historical background, and this was perfectly brought to life by Minerva Heritage who researched the content for a series of interpretation panels, each concentrating on a different aspect of this intriguing region. The Way Design created the layout and graphics panels with their typically professional enthusiasm and the end result looked amazing.

Some of the panels were mounted directly onto stonework, and some were built into the Lymington lecterns, one of our most popular styles. The clean and frameless edge-to-edge graphics perfectly complement the sturdy timber posts and provide a thought-provoking testament to the toils of those who lived and worked nearby.
