About this Project
The American Museum near Bath is the only museum dedicated to American decorative art outside the United States. It is housed in a Grade I listed 19th-century house overlooking the Avon Valley in Somerset. The museum grounds and gardens cover 125 acres and includes formal gardens, New American Garden, Mount Vernon Garden as well as a Children’s Garden, arboretum and woodland walk.
Landmark were honoured to supply the very popular Eye bollard by Timberlab to this iconic location, and the timber construction blends perfectly with the beautifully landscaped surroundings. They will weather down from the fresh-sawn gold colour to a silver-grey and give gentle illumination on the pathways after dark.
