Furniture for Front Street, York

About This Project

An important secondary shopping centre in York, Acomb Front Street deserved some regeneration to boost footfall and make it a more attractive location.

Along with highway and pavement improvements was a ‘decluttering’ of the street scene and the introduction of some of Hornbeck’s classic products.

Firstly, the Barcelona monolith – a well-seasoned resident of many high streets. Then the Mettro bench – equally at home and this time, with recycled plastic slats. Next, the Mettro planter – supplied to match the benches. Finally, the Stockholm notice case completed the street furniture package.

The result is a much improved experience for residents, visitors and shoppers and we look forward to visiting ourselves soon!
