About This Project
Alton Gateway is a part of a larger development in this Hampshire town which also includes a care home and some apartments along with changes to the highway and railway bridge. It has created a stunning new public space which acts as a dramatic entrance to the town.
As well as being planted up with wildflower and grass areas, it also preserves the site of an anti-tank weapon which was isued to the Home Guard during WWII which can be accessed along the thoughtfully created paths.
An integral part of this site was the furniture and we were pleased to supply Mettro benches and bins to help provide a relaxing and clean environment to enhance the visitor experience. As always the high quality workmanship is apparent in the elegant Iroko slats and anthracite grey frames giving a coordinated appearance throughout.
