Installation guidelines
The Mettro 201 Cycle Stand is designed for straightforward installation, whether specified for root fixing or bolt-down applications. To ensure stability, safety, and long-term performance, we recommend that the following guidelines be observed during fitting.
Root fix installation (planted)
- Excavate an area of 300 x 300 x 300 mm for each footing.
- Position the support posts securely within the excavations.
- Pour C40-grade concrete, trowelling the surface for effective water run-off. Allow adequate space below ground for backfilling (see Step 4).
- Backfill to the finished floor level using appropriate materials.
Bolt-down installation
- Excavate an area of 300 x 300 x 300 mm for each footing.
- Fill with C40-grade concrete and level off, ensuring enough space below ground for backfilling (see Step 5). Allow to set fully.
- Position the base plates accurately on the prepared concrete pads.
- Secure the base plates using M12 zinc-plated anchor bolts.
- Backfill to the finished ground level with suitable materials.
Note: For bolt-down installations, a maximum backfill depth of 50 mm is recommended to achieve an appropriate installation height.
