Installation guidelines
The Barcelona Monolith can be installed using either a root fix or bolt-down method, depending on site requirements and long-term maintenance considerations. All installations should be carried out by qualified professionals, following the foundation dimensions provided in the product data tables.
Root fix (Planted)
- Excavate to the specified foundation dimensions.
- Position the support posts securely within the excavation.
- Fill with C40 grade concrete, trowelling the surface for water run-off while leaving space below ground for backfilling.
- Backfill to the finished floor level using the required materials.
Bolt down (Baseplated)
- Excavate to the specified foundation dimensions.
- Fill with C40 grade concrete and level off, leaving sufficient space below ground for backfilling. Allow to set.
- Position the base plates accurately on the concrete pad.
- Fix the base plates to the pad using M12 zinc-plated anchor bolts.
- Backfill to the finished ground level with the required materials.
