At Hornbeck, we specialise in crafting outdoor lighting and street furniture that’s built to last and designed to impress. Our work blends thoughtful design with durable materials, helping spaces feel more welcoming, safe, and stylish.
One of our recent highlights took us to the stunning Stonehouse Court Hotel in Gloucestershire. If you’re looking for somewhere truly unique to stay or even to say “I do”, this beautiful destination has plenty to offer.
Set in a Grade II listed Manor House that dates all the way back to 1601, the hotel perfectly balances historical charm with modern touches. Surrounded by landscaped grounds, it even has its own kitchen garden, giving guests a fresh, local dining experience.
We were thrilled to add a little Hornbeck (formerly Made by Landmark) magic to this special place by installing pathway lighting bollards that now illuminate the atmospheric walkway between Little Court and the main house.
Stonehouse Court Hotel is a timeless escape. Think rolling green lawns, tall trees, and architecture full of character. It’s a place that invites guests to slow down, celebrate, and take in every detail.
One of those details is the lovely path that links Little Court to the main building. This walkway now glows softly at night, thanks to our Eye (Wired) lighting bollards. We worked closely with the team at Stonehouse Court to make sure the lighting felt natural, warm, and in keeping with the setting. After all, good lighting doesn’t just help you see where you’re going–it helps set the mood.
For weddings, evening walks, and peaceful garden moments, lighting plays a big role. That’s why we were proud to contribute to the experience at such a well-loved venue.

Our Eye (Wired) Lighting Bollard 93001 is one of our most popular designs and for good reason. Its simple, clean shape helps it blend into natural surroundings during the day. But come evening, it gently lights the way with a soft, focused glow. At Stonehouse Court, we used 2200K warm light, which spreads sideways along the path without being too bright or harsh.
This choice creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere that doesn’t compete with the beauty of the setting, it enhances it. The result is an outdoor space that’s safe, serene, and full of charm.
For this project, we used solid oak for the bollards. Oak fits beautifully with the manor’s period features and rich landscaping. It also holds up well in the elements, lasting around 20–25 years above ground.
If you’re working on a similar project, we also offer Larch, Chestnut, and Accoya. Accoya, for example, is guaranteed for 50 years above ground and 25 years below, ideal for long-term installations. All our timber is FSC certified, so you can feel confident you’re choosing materials that are responsibly sourced.
